Another awards ceremony post. This time it's the prestigious Golden Globe Awards. Although we had no Irish winners, there was definitely a lot of winners in the style stakes. Here are a few of my favourites.
Blush tones were big news on this year's red carpet. Charlize Theron steals the show with this beautiful Christian Dior gown. I love the simplicity of her hair and bejewelled hairband. Young
Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland looks very grown up in her vintage Dolce and Gabbana. At one point her zip popped and she had to be sown into her dress.
Supposedly Newly engaged Jessica Biel looks every inch the bride to be in an intricate lace gown by Eli Saab.
Jessica Chastain (The Help) wore high kneck, pearl encrusted Givenchy, while Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) opted for a demure strapless Marchesa dress. Jessica Alba followed the trend of blush tones in Gucci and a simple up-do. Angelina Jolie stood out in Ice White with a touch of red. I love the colour combination and simplicity, but still prefer her emerald green Versace gown from last year's Golden Globes.
Lea Michele was no shrinking violet in this barely there, silver, embroidered Marchesa gown. She looks absolutely stunning! As does Claire Danes, in this beautiful, backless, monochromatic J. Mendel floor sweeper.
The stunning Mila Kunis played it safe and predictable in black Christian Dior, who she is now the face of. I'm in love with Michelle Williams in this velvet Jason Wu gown. Her elfin crop is set off with a dainty headband. 14 year old Ariel Winter from
Modern Family looks adorable and age appropriate, while Emma Stone can do no wrong in my books! She looks flawless in floating Lanvin teamed with an eagle belt. Brilliant.
I am so envious of Reese Witherspoon's red Zac Posen fish tail gown. Her hair is just perfect, an effortless look. The name on everybody's lips at the moment Zooey Deschanel, wore a green beaded bespoke Prada dress, but my favourite part of her outfit has to be her Tuxedo nails!! (I'm loving her show
New Girl aswell).
However, the star of the show for me, HAS to be Uggie, the dog from hit film The Artist. Look at his little bow tie!! Now that's what every red carpet needs!
Did anyone watch the awards ceremony? Which look was your favourite?
