#2. Dorothy of Oz: (April). Animated story of Dorothy's return to Oz with some familiar faces and famous voices.
#3. The Five-Year Engagement: (April). The name says it all. It has Jason Segel in it so that's all I need to know.
#4. What To Expect When Your Expecting: (May). A movie about four pregnant couples. I'm either gonna love it or loathe it. Their movie poster needs some work!
#5. Snow White and the Huntsman: (June). In a twist to the fairytale, Snow White becomes hardcore. Maybe Kristen Stewart won't have her whingy face on the whole way through this one.
#6. The Perks of Being a Wallflower: (No release date). Starring Emma Watson, Nina Dobrev and Paul Rudd, this movie details the trials and tribulations of adolescent life.
#7. The Amazing Spider-Man: (July) Spidey gets a re-boot again, this time with the handsome Andrew Garfield slipping into the suit. Awesome real life girlfriend Emma Stone stars as Mary Jane.
#8. The Dark Knight Rises: (July). Batman is back (which means Christian Bale is back...I can't say I'm a fan). I'm looking forward to it all the same.
#9. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II: (November). The final installment in the Twilight series. Many will rejoice and many will weep. I'm looking forward to seeing it but, like the last one, I don't have any particular feelings about it. Oh, except my dislike to the aforementioned Kristen Stewart.
#10. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey: (December). I am excited BEYOND BELIEF about this movie. I'm hoping to recognise some places in New Zealand too!
#11. The Great Gatsby: (December). Also very excited about this film. I just know the fashion is going to be enviable. I hate to admit I have never read the book (I know, I know, I should be taken out and shot!!), but it is definitely on my reading list for 2012.
#12. This is 40: (December). The sequel to "Knocked Up", looking at the lives of Pete and Debbie years later. Starring Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, Melissa Mc Carthy, Jason Segel and Chris O'Dowd ♥, and directed by Judd Apatow, you just know it's going to be hilarious.
What do you think? Will you be going to see any of these movies, or any others this year?

I have been waiting for years for the movie adaptation of Perks!! Same for Gatsby. Have been following the production of this since I first found out about it back when it was just rumoured back in 2009! Beyond excited about that.
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard about This Is 40 - that sounds fantastic!!
Great post:)
