Merry Christmas, Everyone...

Just a quick note to wish everyone a HAPPY CHRISTMAS!! I'll be "driving home for Christmas" today when I finish work at 2pm. I can not wait to spend the Christmas with my family. It's our first proper Christmas in our new house so it'll be a bit different (in a good way!)

Sooooo 2011....well it started for me on a plane to Perth, Australia for my brother's wedding. Oh my God an amazing two weeks, I would give ANYTHING to be going over again this year! Then of course I started this little blog in March, had a hectic Summer of work where I had some fun drinking times, made some new friends and spent quality time with old ones. My favourite Canadian, Heather came for a visit. We welcomed a new addition in Australia, my gorgeous niece Chloe and I watched my God-daughter Jazmin get a year older and a year cuter. I'm ending the year realizing just what good friends I have and of course appreciating every minute I spend with my gorgeous Aid!

For 2012, I hope to create new memories with friends and family. I aim to keep writing my little blog, work on getting a new job and establishing a proper career path, seriously start thinking of building a house, there are talks of a trip to New York or Australia in the pipeline but we'll see how the funds are and maybe start a new hobby or challenge. I'm excited to see what the New Year brings.

As I'll be in Roscommon for Christmas, I won't have any proper internet but will probably be nattering away on my twitter (you can follow me here). I'm hoping to take a load of outfit pics as I have 10 whole days where I won't be in my poxy uniform and can wear REAL clothes :)

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and I'll see y'all in 2012!

I will leave out a carrot for Rudolph and maybe one for you too as I'm sure your cholesterol isn't hectic at this time of year and you should lay off the mince pies! Oh, can I also have this teacup pig please?

Ahhhhh if only money was no object and I could actually get all these wonderful gifts. A girl can always dream! What would be on your Christmas wishlist if there was no spending limit??

Christmas Market...

Hey peeps! Well, I was working Saturday so my weekend really only consisted of Sunday. And what a lovely Sunday it was! Me and Aid took a little trip into town for a peruse around the Galway Christmas Market. It's in its second year now and is proving to be a great success, which is great to see. Loads of local businesses have set up little stalls to sell their wares such as woolly hats and scarves, candles, wooden name plates and the like. There's food stalls to die for and the aromas are amazing, especially coming from the exotic meat stall. They have bison, ostrich, springboks and kangaroo burgers. Although they smelled fantastic, I couldn't bring myself to eat any of them. Even when I was in Australia I couldn't even manage a nibble of Kangaroo. Although I think I ate crocodile or snake under the pretense of it being chicken...there was no way it could have been chicken!! Gag!

Anyway I did sample an amazing crepe at the market, filled with nutella, banana and caramel. Mmmmm dee-lish (although a wee bit on the sweet side). We popped into the German beer tent on the way home and since I'm not a beer drinker I had a very tasty Bailey's hot chocolate with cream as you can see me slurping above! It was off home then to watch the X Factor final. I know people are super negative about the show this year but I liked it (except Kelly & Tulisa's outfits every week, especially Tulisa's at the final #fail). I was so happy to see Little Mix win but not too impressed with the choice of winner's song, I think the original is so good it shouldn't be touched. I want this song to be Christmas number 1 (filmed here in Galway) instead.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Aghhh it's getting so close to Christmas, I can't wait!
